Wishabi welcomes Matthew and Brendan!

The average height at Wishabi has skyrocketed with the addition of our two newest team members, Matthew Tate and Brendan Cone.
Matt will be joining our engineering team where he will be working on Wishabi’s backend architecture and helping Wishabi scale to massive amounts of data. Matthew just graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a major in computer science (software engineering) and a minor in law. Matthew is originally from Alberta and he has travelled most of Canada. He enjoys studying music, people watching, water skiing, and a host of cool activities.
Brendan joins our engineering team as well from the University of Waterloo. Brendan is currently in his 3rd year in computer science and was raised in the metropolis of Innisfil, Ontario. Brendan likes to play guitar, writes music on a regular basis and wears a rasta hat sometimes for kicks.
Wishabi is happy to have Matthew and Brendan on the team, and if the shorter guys can’t reach the top shelves they’ll know who to ask!

Arnel Ilano will be joining Wishabi as the new creative director where he will be taking Wishabi’s designs to the next level and making the world a more beautiful place.
Arnel attended the University of Toronto with a major in new media and minors in psychology and visual arts, the latter of which he specialized in painting.
Arnel has lived in the Philippines, Australia, Qatar, and now Canada to which he calls home. He enjoys painting, shopping, nights out, and of course staying up all night to work on the designs for Wishabi.

Welcome to Wishabi – Our First Blog Post!

Hi everyone! My name is Johnny Dick and I’ll be updating this blog with the rest of the team to give you the inside scoop at Wishabi. We’re heads down right now in development creating a new shopping application for Canadians which we’re sure you’ll love.
For now, all we can say is that Wishabi will change the way Canadians shop online. We’ve got some exciting features such as demand driven shopping and social shopping and I’ll talk more about it in the next few blog posts.
